STS SCIENCE AND BELIEF READING GROUP

Home: Welcome

SCIENCE
& BELIEF
2020-2021

Science and Belief is a UCL STS reading group designed to consider themes relating to science in society, however, specifically focusing on its relationship to belief. Belief does not translate directly to religion but instead tries to recognize that everybody, whether religious or not, holds to some beliefs about reality. As such, topics will not be limited only to Christianity but rather extend out to various beliefs within and outside of the Western world as we discuss science and belief from the interdisciplinary perspectives of: cognitive science, sociology, history, philosophy and so on. We look forward to some highly interesting and engaging discussions!

Location: (free and open to anyone)

Sessions will take place online considering the current COVID situation. Details to join will soon follow. Anyone can join, you don't have to be a student at UCL!
